Melly Art Creates All the Things

 It’s been a busy few weeks!  Between all the fall goodness going on and making this awesome mini album for my oldest and most best friend!    Hope you like!  I’m not video maker, but I try ... sometimes ! ♥️ More posts coming soon!!  

 Playing along, a little bit, with the Scraptember crew this year.   My Instagram account @melly.art.creates has all the posts so far that I’ve done either on my own or for the, specifically.   Here are a few I thought I would share here.. This was a scraplift prompt.  I took a layout from Khristina Sorge, from Redefined Kreative,  flipped it around and created this, using Cocoa Vanilla Studio Happiness collection.  Lots of patterns for me! Another prompt was a Grid style.   I pulled out some more Cocoa Vanilla, and played with this design. I have a major love for using hexagons!  More Cocoa Vanilla.  Trying to get my stash used up some before I get Daydream, so I have room to store it!  I have a tendency to hoard my CVS collections.   There are more prompts coming!   Black and white, mixed media, long title ..  I finished the final 3 “hidden doors” Layle Concur shared at this event.  This was one of my favorites!  I can’t wait to create more of these in my mini albums, and maybe even try them in my regular albums.  How fun they would be!  Oh the possibilities. So this is a Dutch Oven door.  Two separate doors that open,   This particular one I made cohesive, but on another one thy could be very different when opened.... These were so fun, adding those stamped images to these, gave it the perfect touch.   I love all things I can find with Dachshunds on it.  Its so hard to find, so when you do, you buy them!   They turned out too cute with the Alcohol markers!  I tried to get them similar to my puppies, take some practice, but I will keep trying and get there at some point.  This was SO much fun!   Learning these awesome little tips and trick make Mini Albums so much more fun!  Here are 3 of the 6 ways to get more photos into those mini albums!   Hello!   One of my favorite things to scrapbook are my nieces and nephews!   Every year, I take my sisters yearly family photo.  It always so much fun, I have to take literally 450 pictures just to get one good one, cause they are so goofy!  Totally worth it though, cause while she is taking their individual photos, I get to spend time with them.  I usually get photos with all of them, but as they get older, they don’t want any more pictures than the absolutely have to have taken.  However, my darling niece Arianna is never too old to get her taken with Aunt Melly.  I treasure these photos.  And this particular layout is getting hung on my wall!  I used the amazing sunburst stencil from Redefined Kreative as a template for this, and of course epoxy flair from the fabulous ScrappinHappy Studio , and sequins from the amazing SpiegelMom Scraps !      Full details can be found on the CutCardstock Blog on how I created this...

  I know a lot of you hate to fussy cut.   I wasn’t always a fan.  However, when I do it, I am so happy with the results, makes it all worth it.    I fussy cut a whole sheet of Cocoa Vanilla paper, and used an older photo of my niece, and I just love how it turned out.   Fussy Cutting is worth it❤️   Without all that time and love, this gorgeousness would never be...  Start small, a butterfly, or a single flower.  Some papers were made to Fussy Cut. 🤷🏼‍♀️ xoxo,  Melly Art
