CutCardstock Friday

Image
Spring has officially started for me and my projects!  I don't care if there's still snow lol  I LOVE winter, but I am ready for all the flowers and gardening, and watching everything grow and bloom.  One of the first flowers to pop up are tulips!  So i created this tulip box card using Scottish Highlands, Light Yellow, Citrus Twist, and Cougar White, keeping it simple, i inked the edges and folded some leaves to give some dimension.  I embossed the back with a sweet sentiment.  Perfect for a Just Because, just saying hi, or even a thank you.. just about anything.   You can find the files to recreate this card at SVGCuts.com.  Tulips come in so many colors, you can easily create these in so many color combinations!                                                ...

March Twilight Project 2

Image
For this project I chose to use the Moments Captured cutfile, from Jenny Wren .  I must say .. I prefer the stitching to turning this into a shaker element. lol It was very frustrating and took so long cause i kept messing it up!  Which is so unlike me cause i turn everything into a shaker.   So I back this cutfile, after cutting it on Cougar White from Cutcardstock , with Acetate.  This is when i realize I'm out of my 1/8 inch foam tape.  So I grab my 1/4 in and start slicing it half, and it sticks to everything, its SUPER sticky and it kept tearing.  I manage to get to the whole outline finished, and i dumb in the sequins, and realize i forgot to do all the little inside borders  so they go everywhere..  so back to slicing foam tape and getting all inside borders.  finally got them all, put the sequins in, ma...

Good morning everyone!  I have sharing this stinking cute bunny box from SVGCuts.com, using Cougar whitw - 110lb, pink Merrisparkle glitter from CutCardstock.  I pulled out some scraps for the belly and bow tie.  The feet are popped up wiht foam dots, and as soon as i can find carrot cake M&Ms i am filling it up lol  His head pops off, allowing for the bottom to be filled with just about anything, would make an adorable gift as well!   Spring is coming!  Lots of things can be added to this, flowers, sequins, nuvo, little paper peeps or chicks, bring out all the Spring time stuff !                                                          ...

CutCardstock Friday!

How adorable are these!  I bought this set 15+ years ago, thought it was a good time to bring them back. The set is from SVGCuts.com the cardstock from CutCardstock - Crystal, Rose Quartz, Peach, Gold, lime, fairway, and cougar white.  The patterned paper is Love Always from Cocoa Vanilla Studio.           I didnt embellish them too much, i addede some inked edging, some glittler drops on the flowers and music notes, and some jewel drops on their beaks. The only things i might even still go back and add are some sequins, no project is complete without some sparkle.  Thank you for stopping by!                                                                                       H...

March Twilight Project 1

Image
For this project i chose to use the Hexagon Stitching file and the Together Cutfile from Jenny Wren . All cut on Cougar White cardstock from CutCardstock . Not including the stitching, this came together rather easily and quickly.  The stitching took about 6 hours to complete, which, when stitching, isn't that long.  I used both the back stitch and the chain stitch, using 7 colors.   Adding  an older glittered thicker to add onto the title, allowing the adorable bees to be made and used.  Using some paper flowers from Michael's, to create little clusters with the bees and adding Metallic nuvo drops as well as some sequins for some sparkle. Last thing I did for this page was add some drawn on details to the cutfile itself so it would stand out a bit more with all the white on this.                                    ...

Spring is coming!  I do love winter, one of my 2 favorite seasons!  But Spring is coming up quick so im switching gears and created a lovely green box card, with shamrocks, and pretty white flowers.  Yes this can be used as a St Pattys Day card, but I wouldn't be me if i didn't change it to a pretty spring card.           The card itself is from a spring box card set from SVGCuts.com .. the rest of that set will make its way here lol .. I didnt do alot to this, i loved the simple look of it, with all the greed and white, with the gold accents, using a simple "oh, happy day" stamp for the sentiment.  I used all the cardstock from CutCardstock, Caramel Apple, Lime,  Chartreuse, linen pearl gold, hot fudge and Bronze.       I had thought about adding some rhinstones, or sequins, maybe some nuvo, but i loved this so much just as it is... someimes less is more. :)  Thank you so much for stopping by!   ...

March A Cut Above Challenge

Image
Good Morning!  I know its March and I should be starting Spring things, but we still have snow so i'm sticking with it one more time.  These photos of deer up from my house had to be scrapbooked and shared.  I used Bronze Metallic Cardstock to and snowflake dies, with a mixed media background on VB Mixed Media paper, a snowflake wreath from Jenny Wren, using Vista Metallic Cardstock, and a border punch.         I added in some sequins, Nuvo Drops and glittered thickers to finish off this layout.  Im going to miss Winter, I am one of the very few that loves winter and snow.  Its so beautiful when everything is so white.     Hope you enjoy this layout as much as I did creating it.  Thank you for stopping by!  And thank you for joining A Cut Above Challenge this month!                                 ...

February Layouts!

Image
Not to many layout this month outside of my DT projects, but i did manage to get a few done..        This one took quite a long time.. 18 hours to stitch all those hearts!  I used 4 shades of purple and white thread and the chain stitch, which is why it took so very long.  SO worth it though, it turned out beautiful, and you know me, purple is my least favorite color.  But I do love how this turned out.  I kept the embellishments is tight clusters and to a minimum, i wanted those hearts to stand out!  I added some flair, paper flowers, a few butterflies, a shaker, and sequins..       This was fairly simple.  I used the notebook cutfile and the title are from Jenny Wren, Made a frame from rose quartz metallic cardstock, and a Tracey Reed Collection.  Added some snowflake, paper flowers, a few layers of patterned paper and Nuco Drops.  Miss Shirley covered in snow turned out perfect. ...

Twilight Crafts February Project 2

Image
I had such a blast creating this layout. I used cougar white from cutcardstock, as the background and used Shimmerez Paints for the black and yellow splatters behind the bee wreath - from Jenny Wren Cut Files.  Combining it with another cutfile - Collecting Flowers, all cut on Cougar White cardstock as well.  They seemed to go with these photos perfecting and i couldn't decided which one to use, so i used both!  I also added some stitching in black around the layout, before adding anything else to page.    For the collecting flowers file, i did cut on white cardstock, however i used Mustard Seed and inked the entire cut file, it matched the flowers so well, and it made that file really pop out against the white.  I used some black pearl embellishments as the flower centers around the wreath, and added some black nuvo to bring it all together.  Adding some paper flowers and pearl elements, with a lovely spattering of sequins for some sparkle. ...

CutCardstock Friday!

For this weeks project I went with a simple layout.  I used Cougar White for the background, adding some red inking using Tim Holtz Festive Berries, Candied Apple, and Lumberjack Plaid.  Creating some splatters as well using Shimmerz Coloringz in Black and Cotton Candy.  I used a cutfile I cut out in Black , and the Metallic Crystal to cut the title in.  Adding stitching in red around the border.        I kept the embellishments simple, I wanted the cutfile and the inking to pop out.  So i used white embellishments, paper flowers, acrylic hearts, some sequins, and of course some Nuvo drops.                                                      Thanks for stopping by!  Happy Crafting.

Happy Friday!  Im sharing another card from Dreaming Tree.  Using Cougar White, Fruit Punch, Jupiter, Onyx, and Flame from CutCardstock.  This one is a bit silly, but very cute, a little more limited in its use, but good for a just because, who doesn't like a silly card now and again.       I kept this pretty simple, adding some stickles on the sentiment, i like letting the metallic and shimmer card stocks to sparkle.                                                                                                                                Happy Crafting!

CutCardstock Friday

Happy Friday!  I am sharing another card from Dreaming Tree , using metallic reds and pinks from Cutcardstock.com .  This is also a valentines day card, but could be used as an anniversary card, a just because card, so many uses!  I kept this one simple, popping up the inside hearts, using some silver glitter, and adding some Nuvo drops to the outside band.  The space to write is a little more condensed to the hearts, however I always like to write on a separate sheet of paper, allowing the card to be displayed or even reused by the recipient.                                                                      Happy Crafting!

Twilight Crafts February Project 1

Image
Good Morning!   I am sharing my first February project for Twilight Crafts and Crop .  I am using the "Butterfly" Cut file from Jenny Wren, along with the Bloom Street collection.  I love these files, they cut beautifully, and the borders are a little bigger than most cut files, making it easier, for me, to back or make shaker elements from.  This one I backed and added foam tape all over the back to pop it up.  Also adding thicker foam tape to the photo so it lays on top of the cut file. I kept this page very simple, I always want my cut file and or photos to be the focus and pop out from the rest of the page.  I used some epoxy flair from ScrappinHappyStudio, black thickers and nuvo drops, along with some green splatters and sequins for all the sparkle.  Adding just a few paper flowers.  I love the final look of this layout..                          ...

February A Cut Above

Image
Good Morning!  Back with another project for A Cut Above.  This month I created this beautiful card from Dreaming Tree using glitter cardstock and Cougar White from CutCardstock .  This was very simple and turned out beautiful. I decided to keep this simple to highlight the glitter aspects, however lots of different things would work for this card: sequins, nuvo, flair, flowers, additional hearts, lots of layer can be added to it as well.  Doesn't have to be for valentines day, this can be used as an anniversary card, or just an everyday I love you card to make anyone feel special.                                                                             ...
