All the Winter!

Happy Friday!   I am up today with a project for CutCardstock.  I used the Moonlight Romance set from DreamingTree along with Cougar White, Blueberry Pie, Sparkling Water, Opulent Opal, Silver Merrisparkle, and Jet Stream papers.

Popping up all these layers was a little difficult, trimming down pop dots and foam tape to fit the snowflakes, took time, but totally worth it.  I used some ink and chalk on the moon to give it a moon like appearance.  The background was fun.  I used Tim Holtz oxide ink n Villainous Purple and Chipped Sapphire than splattered water on it so it looked like snow.  Below are some close ups..

This was a lot of fun to make.  They always seems so intimidating while cutting everything, so many layers, and worrying about lining them up right.. but once i get started i forget all that and it turns out so pretty.  I did not add anything extra beyond the chalk, I let the glittery paper steal the show!

Layout Dump!

Happy Wednesday!  Popping in quick to share a few layouts Ive done in December.  Its been awhile since I have shared any, thought it time too..  I stitched this months ago, it from Paige Taylor Evans, part of her Stitching Bundle.  I kept this simple, its on Cougar White from CutCardstock, the photo is layered with Lagoon, Onyx and White.  I used Salvaged Patina and inked inside the stitched area.  Used some ephemera from Pink Fresh Studio, flair from Scrappin Happy Studio, sequins, and some black nuvo drops.

This is also done on Cougar White, using the Unconditional Collection from Rosie's Studio.  I used the flower ephemera pack, sequins, Nuvo Drops, and white hearts.

I put this together using Black cardstock, and the Cocoa Vanilla Studio Midnight Collection.  The title has Clear accents from Ranger on the thickers.  Adding in some sequins and Nuvo drops around.

I used Spectrum Sherbet Collection from 49 & Market, using the patterned paper and the matching rub-ons from this collection. I colored the lettering using Nuvo Glitter Markers.  Cut the title in Black and White cardstock, using White Blizzard Glitter drops on part of it, and finally adding stitching to the top and bottom.

This one is using Umber & Gold from Cocoa Daisy.  I fussy cut all those leaves, handmade the envelope and stitched around it.  I also fussy cut the pumpkins from a different collection, cut the title and called it a day.  Those leaves took forever to cut and place so the popped out and up and coming from the envelope.

Last but not least, Miss Shirley layout.  Using an Altenew Collection, pieces from a Paige Taylor Evans collection(i dont remember which), Die cut hearts and doxie with some sequins sprinkled.  This was taken from a sketch, and when i remember where i found it I will update this post..

Snowman and Snowmam...

 Happy Friday!

Im up today with another project for Cutcardstock, using the fabulous Cougar White and Metallic Crystal, with some Flame, Vista, and Sapphire with a tiny bit of Silver Merrisparkle.  I found a tutorial for these lovelies close to 15 years ago, and every few years I give them away and make new ones, cause They're so sweet!  I usually make her Pink,  I don't know why I've never thought to change the color, but this year I made them with all the blue.

This idea originally came from SVGCuts.com, one of their DT members created the Snowmam, with the candy dish.. I took what they started and created the snowman to go with her, using their cutfiles. Which you can find at the above link.  They were fairly easy to put together, but I've been creating their stuff for 15+ years so it was easy for me.  She was a little more difficult...

Making her skirt was a challenge, they didnt have any score marks to help bend them or guide you, you kinda just have to guess, same with her hat.  Paper Piecing at its grandest, and one of my favorite things to do! This didnt bother me in the slightest having to piece everything together. You have the help of the lid itself to help guide the skirt on, pre-shapeing the pieces is a must. Adding all the little details on after theyre glued together is so much fun....

I added some Coal shaped beads for her buttons, and buttons for her eyes.. Fancied her hat with some flowers from 40 & Market, big blue snowflakes and small silver one, with some embroidery thread wrapped up and bowed, and a little wooden heart.  Both
are hold cute little winter signs and of course she has peppermints.

Peppy Penguins Card

 Good Morning!

I am sharing this Penguin card designed by Dreaming Tree, using the fabulous cardstock from CutCardstock.  I used Wasabi, Pink Merrisparkle Glitter, White Glitter, Amethyst, Onyx, Cougar White, and Flame.  This was super easy to put together and is adorable.

I love winter almost as much as i love fall.  its getting very difficult to find just winter projects, I might need to remake some of my past projects.   Im thinking my snowmen with the hidden candy dish, just create them a little differently, different colors, different embossing folders, you get the idea.  The ones I had i gave away as a gift, which is usually what happens with a lot of my stuff, cause I can always make it again :)

Winter Cocoa

AS you know, I have a magnetic calendar on my fridge that I change every month, and e.. very so often I create new pieces for whichever month.  I decided to change up December, and made these adorable snow Mooses!   Previously they were Stink-in cute cocoa hedgehogs.. they will totally make a come back at some point lol .. Here is my new calendar for December, but don't be sad for the hedgehogs.  They found a new home as you'll see below the Calendar. :)

See!  These guys are the cutest!  I used Mud Pie,  Vanilla Bean, Hot Fudge, Black, Metallic Silver, Metallic Lapis, Sapphire, and Cougar While to create these guys.  I added some Nuvo glitter, metallic, and crystal drops to pop some of those colors out, and on the snow for some dimension on them.  Here are some closeups of them .....

As sad as it is to see the cocoa hedgehogs go, they've been on my calendar for a number of years now, I still love them.  I never toss these die cuts away, what a waste of paper!  So I re-home them, and here is their forever home :)

I was only able to  salvage 3 of the 4.. one of them tore while removing the magnet, it was very sad, i cried, but these 3 will forever live on in a scrapbook with my cocoa photo :)

I love creating all the die sets, theyre so cute.  Finding a way to protect them made it so much better cause I can repurpose them on to layouts, or even cards!
            Thanks for stopping by!

This is a mini book designed by the fabulous Cal Summers that I created using beautiful colored cardstock from CutCardstock , beautiful Spectrum Sherbet from 49 & market and my own little embellishments.

This i created using a cut file from Cut to You and some adorable little bunnies from Scrapping Bug Designs.  Featuring the adorable Lindy. Sadly her photos aren't allowed to be shown, shes adorable though.

This are created this from envelopes! Using Cocoa Vanilla Studios Midnight and some lovely stamps from Ink Road.

Another design by Cal Summers.  This is a loaded pocket originally done with Christmas papers.  I do not celebrate holidays, so I chose to use this Vintage Lemon collection from Simple Stories and I LOVE the way it turned out!   Just needs photos like all the others lol !

I will be back in a day or 2 with some more projects that have kept me busy and beginning in January I will have some amazing announcements for 2025!
